Privacy Policy for Koto – Japanese Instrument

Koto – Japanese Instrument (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) is a virtual Japanese Koto instrument app developed by DN Apps (in collaboration with Sonali Technology).

We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how third-party advertising services may process information when you use the App.

Koto – Japanese Instrument does not require an account or registration.

We do not directly collect or store:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Passwords
  • Account credentials
  • Contacts
  • Photos or videos
  • Precise GPS location
  • Payment card information
  • Personal messages
  • Information submitted through a registration form

The App does not have a user account or sign-in system.

We also do not operate a personal server or database for storing your personal information.

The App uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK to display advertisements and support the App through advertising revenue.

Because the Google Mobile Ads SDK is integrated into the App, Google may automatically collect or process certain information when advertisements are requested or displayed.

Depending on Google's services, device settings, ad personalization settings, and applicable laws, this may include:

  • IP address
  • Android Advertising ID or other advertising-related identifiers
  • App/device information
  • Device model and operating system information
  • App version
  • Advertising interactions
  • Information about app interactions relevant to advertising
  • Diagnostic and performance information
  • Information used for advertising, fraud prevention, security, and measurement

Google states that the Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share IP address, user product interactions, diagnostic information, and device/account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.

This information is processed by Google and its advertising partners according to their own privacy practices and applicable privacy laws.

The App may use the Android Advertising ID through the Google Mobile Ads SDK for advertising purposes.

The Android Advertising ID is a resettable identifier provided by Android for advertising-related purposes.

You can manage or reset your advertising preferences through your Android device settings. Google also states that when a user opts out of ads personalization, the Advertising ID cannot be used for creating advertising profiles or personalized advertising.

The App does not use the Advertising ID to identify you by name, email address, phone number, or other directly identifying information.

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements, including standard advertisements and rewarded advertisements.

Rewarded advertisements may allow you to temporarily access selected premium features after successfully completing an advertisement.

For example, the App may provide temporary access to selected premium Koto features after you watch a rewarded advertisement.

Google and its advertising partners may use information processed through advertising technologies to provide, measure, personalize, or protect advertising services, subject to applicable settings, consent requirements, and laws.

Google requires publishers using its advertising products to provide privacy disclosures describing data collection, sharing, and use associated with Google products and services.

Koto – Japanese Instrument does not require users to create an account.

We do not request or collect:

  • Email addresses
  • Usernames
  • Passwords
  • Social-media accounts
  • Phone numbers

You can use the core functionality of the App without creating an account.

If the App provides audio recording functionality, recordings are created as part of the App's functionality.

We do not intentionally upload your recordings to our own servers.

Recordings are not used by us to identify individual users.

If future versions introduce cloud storage, sharing, or another feature that changes how recordings are handled, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.

The App may request permissions that are necessary for specific functionality.

For example, if audio recording is provided, microphone access may be required to record audio.

Permissions are used only for the functionality for which they are requested.

The App does not use microphone access to collect conversations or audio for advertising purposes.

An internet connection may be required for advertisements and certain third-party services.

The core Koto instrument functionality may be available offline, depending on the features included in your version of the App.

When an advertisement is requested, information may be transmitted to Google and its advertising partners as described in this Privacy Policy.

The App may use third-party services, including:

Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK
Used to provide advertisements, including rewarded advertisements.

Google's services may process information such as advertising identifiers, IP addresses, device information, interactions, and diagnostic information as described in Google's documentation.

Information transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using appropriate transport security mechanisms. Google states that data collected by the Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS.

We do not maintain a separate server database containing user profiles or personal account information for this App.

Koto – Japanese Instrument is not specifically designed to collect personal information from children.

The App does not require users to provide names, email addresses, phone numbers, passwords, or accounts.

However, advertising services may process information according to their own policies and applicable children's privacy requirements.

If the App is configured for child-directed treatment or is marketed toward children in a particular jurisdiction, appropriate advertising and privacy settings will be applied as required.

Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have rights concerning personal information processed by third-party services.

You may also control certain advertising preferences through your Android device settings and Google's privacy controls.
